Mid term Submission

Photo Shoot

Scouting locations

Our options for our locations were Palm Aire, Laurel Oak, or Serenoa. I took some pictures out at laurel but most of them were done at Palm Aire. Palm Aire is my home course so I have access to being out there whenever I want. Also it was the easiest for most of the boys to get out too.

Interviews and questions

I plan on interviewing Jordan Evans, Scott Yoder, Austin Kuster, and Sam Herndon. I plan to hopefully get them out to Palm Aire golf course at the same time. The process of scheduling was hard but we figured a day to all get out there.
Questions:
How would you rate your season?
How would you rate your play this season?
How did it feel to win districts this year? and being very close to moving on to states?

The answers will be important to the readers because they will get the players feelings on golf and how they felt on a very successful season.

Table of contents template

I used the articles/ pages because I thought they were the most important stories that golfers should know about. I used 4 photos for the four most important stories in my opinion. We stayed with the same font on the table of contents page as well.

Cover Template

We came up with the title "Sailor Seasonal", because our magazine is on the three seasons throughout the school year and all the sports that take place. We chose this font because it pops out on the black screen along with the bold and overlapping, with the orange and white which represents our school.

Project Selection- My decision

I have picked the magazine for my project. Mainly because I have a little more experience and skills, also it follows a more strict plan. I am better at writing out things, than acting out in a film. I know how to edit some photos and make it nice looking. Our project is going to be sports related. We have football, soccer, baseball and golf. I am in a group with Gavin, Daniel and Robert. We all have pictures of us playing our sports. We all have experience with magazines and editing photos and making it visually appearing.

Project Selection- Film

2. Is the film a good fit for me?

I believe the film would be a good choice because it would be a lot of fun. In a group with some friends making a film. I do not really have any skills nor experience when it comes to film production. I also do not deal with stress and anxiety very well.  In " Ferris Bueller", John Hughes was getting very frustrated and stressed over some scenes. I do not want to deal with that stress during this project. It would also probably be tough to get us all together at the same time. I think the film would be fun but I don't have the experience or skills.

Project Selection - Magazine

1. Is the magazine a good fit?

I believe the magazine would be a lot easier and it follows a lot more strict plan to follow. I have a little bit of experience with magazines. I've made a couple in past experiences. Some challenges may be that I'm doing it all by myself with no help. Also it wouldn't be that fun compared to the film with friends. I feel that I can get a better grade on the magazine because I know what I'm doing. I will also do it in a group, where we all have our own section. It is a lot more organized and I like things I do to be organized.
